   i wanted one sooo bad because i worked with Jeremy Long (Jazz Studies Music Ed professor at Miami U) over the summer and i got to use his mark vi tenor. So when i upgraded to a new alto i looked and looked for one, but even if i found one, my parents would never buy that for me. but luckily i got myself a series three and i love it to death. such a beautiful horn.

    You have to have a great back up sax to be giving a Selmer VI away. Nobody who can play that well will go saxless for long.

    yep, a nice sound but it’s like all selmers from that era. aka a great sound but ONLY that sound. just like a horn with a cold …
    give me a SA II or SA III over these anyday. the sound is broader, less nasal, more variety.
