How does eBay get your money when you buy something?

I just bought something recently and wondered how eBay gets your money when I don’t have a bank account or a credit card. Thank you!

First, check the auction that you bid on and make sure that the seller accepts checks or money orders. You will then need to go to the post office, Walmart, or some other location and purchase a money order by paying cash for it. You will then need to mail the money order to the seller (contact the seller for the address to send the money order to). If the auction states that credit cards or PayPal are the only accepted forms of payment, then you will need to go and purchase a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard from a store such as Walmart, Target, Walgreens, or 7-11. You will then need to pay for the item that you bid on using the pre-paid card. If the seller only accepts PayPal, you will need to open a PayPal account and link it to a credit card and/or a bank account in order to make purchases with it. If the seller only accepts PayPal and you cannot open a PayPal account you will need to contact the seller immediately to explain the situation and see if they will be willing to accept a money order.

You always pay the seller directly, not E-bay. Make sure in the future you know that you are getting into a legal sales contract when bidding on E-bay and make sure that you have figured out how to pay for your item(s) that you purchased ahead of time and not after the sale has been made.

You bought something but you don’t know how ebay gets your money? Well you wont be getting your item then. You have to pay for it yourself, most of the time via paypal. You don’t pay ebay, you pay the seller. You need a bank account or card to pay for your items.

    You pay the Seller directly.

Most Sellers only take PayPal payments these days. You can’t use PayPal to pay unless you have a bank account or a credit card.

Some Sellers do accept money orders.

If your Seller won’t accept a money order, your Seller can receive a refund on his Seller fees by issuing a non-paying Buyer strike against you. If this is the case, you should agree to the strike because that is the only way the Seller will be refunded his Seller fees.
